    die, angeles, die!
omg, history long test tomorrow. 100+ pages' worth of handouts. i have no idea how i'm gonna use any of the handouts cos they're so magulo. rargh. bad vibes. i gotta take a break from studying...soooo... allow me to divert myself! :D

today, i was studying my ass off, reading about the athenian polity and whatnot... here comes gino asking for help, ramon asking for my handouts...so on, and so forth. then i remembered miko borrowed like half of my handouts yesterday. gino calls him. miko says he THINKS he brought it. me: SO not panicking (yeah right). miko comes along, returns my notebook (which he also borrowed). LONG PAUSE and rummaging through bag. miko: i think i left your handouts at home.

gaaaaah wtf. so after eco, me, gino and jill went with miko so we could go to his house, group study, and of course, get back my handouts. miko said his car was near. yeah right. he parked near gate three, and we were coming from the caf. ngek.

    at miko's house...a timeline:
    - stood around in his sala for about 10 minutes just looking around. played with kim the dachshund. took about 3 minutes just to choose a table to study at. i swear, his sala has about 5 tables to choose from.
    - tried to arrange our handouts. nah, scratch that.
    - tried to highlight. gino succeeded...in highlighting the title of one of them. hahaha. as for the rest of us, nothing was going in.
    - we decided to "discuss" nalang, which was actually way better. after a while, we ended up laughing at gino's impersonation of angeles' zoolanderish accent. laughtrip!

highlight of miko's house: FOOD hahahahaha now isn't that a surprise coming from me? hahaha. his mom was so nice and prepared us avocado shakes, carbonara, and toasted bread and butter. omg, yum. parang restaurant talaga (note:his house used to be a restaurant). poor gino though, may soccer pa siya pagkatapos. hihihi, no carbonara for him..more for us! haha kidding.

it was a different kind of afternoon, funny actually, especially when you're with gino and miko. crazy guys, but fun ;) and hey, we actually did get to study! really! haha. timmy sana sumama ka! hahaha

i hope tomorrow's test ain't so bad! rarr! back to studying! :p

to starbucks or not to starbucks?
man, i just realized that if starbucks actually does call (sana naman!)..and saying, if ever, that i do get in, will i have enough time in my schedule to fit in everything? waaah, i want a job, but if i have to work 20 hours a week minimum, that means everything in my day will be sagad. hrrrmmm....school, lunch, go home, job, homework?? then in the morning, work out? argh, stress. i got a month to think about it. should i take it? should i not?

    Hollywood

Okay, it's kinda dumb that we're pretty much based in north hollywood but we've never been to hollywood boulevard. that's just dumb. well, just the other day my dad took me and my bro there and we were just checking the whole place out. it was cool. the street's all glittery cos there's glass in it. then, we checked out the chinese theater and put our hands in the hand prints of the stars. lol it was cool. marilyn monroe, meryl streep, al pacino, richard gere..to name a few. the place is really cool, and the sidewalks are covered with those stars with famous people on them (britney, olsens..etc. etc.) we also went to the place where they lay out the red carpet (Kodak theater)..it was cool. we went all around in the span of about three hours. watched constantine (yes, i know, pretty late for that)

food highlights: PIZZA! hahaha the pizza here rocks! not the pizza hut shit or whatever, just the plain old greek or whatever italian-ish joints along the streets. (just try to avoid the "riffraff" as my dad calls them..i.e. gangstas) hmm...oh yeah, you guys have all got to try PINK's hotdogs. damn, the best. proof? 12 midnight, there was still a long line, and we waited for like 30 minutes. worth it! nuff said.

Sta. Monica...Venice Beach and the Promenade

okay, yesterday, we chose THE wrong day to go to the beach. it was so DAMN windy. we walked along the whole strip (kinda like bora, but more industrialized and minus the nightlife...boo) and went to the beachfront. i really love the beach, but that day, i hated it! the sand was blowing against my legs (smart, i had to wear capris and slippers in that ice cold weather). let's just say, i got a free exfoliating scrub. it's just that, it got in my hair, ears, eyes, mouth..ugh! to top it all off, okay, as we were passing muscle beach...there's an open gym where guys can lift weights and shit. well, there was this black dude, bulky, short..okay, not so bad right? no! he was wearing a semi-thong that was zebra striped and a backpack. only. ew!

afterwards, met up with an old friend (leah) and this cambodian dude who likes her (lin). anyhoo, went to the promenade. almost cried from not being able to buy anything there! aaaahhh steve madden shoes and zara! hehe. just hung out til night time, looking for warm places to stay. i swear, it was freezing! i couldn't feel my feet (i just had to wear slippers to the beach, right?) ugh. some asshole pa just came up to us and was all like, "suck it up guys. it's not that bad (the coldness)." yabang. hmmph.

highlight: ok, time for my loser moment. well, not really a highlight but funny. saw richard guttierrez and his so gay twin. or is it richard who's gay? ahahhaa jk basta the other one, i think he was wearing eyeliner or something. ick. me and leah were jumpiung at old navy like idiots. and yes, people stared at us for bein' weird.

    Dinner tonight

Lol just have to say this one. forgive me. while my dad was getting something in the ref, i spilled my bro's water all over the table. if he'd have found out, he'd get pissed. so i ran and got the paper towels and my tito and the nanny helped to clean up while my dad was obliviously digging in the ref. then my lil one and a half year old cuz started saying, "Spill water! Spill water!" me: "shhh! be quiet! yeah, spell water! spell water!" gaah. well, my dad never found out. hahahahhaha. fool. :p

    highlights of this short stay
omg, i haven't written in forever. haha might as well use this thing. yes, my life is very sad right now. i'm so lonely! haha and with that in mind, i gotta vent out all my meaningless kuwento somewhere, right? ;)

highlights of this super short-lived break in the u.s.

    1) FOOD - IHOP, anyone? oh gawd, their waffles, pancakes, omelettes, whatever..they're so yummy! ugh, my stomach has been being filled to its full capacity of late-not good! the culprits? in-n-out burger (oh wow), buffets at the Aladdin and Palace Station (Vegas HOtels, baby), Chinese buffet, and Pinoy buffets! haha Epoy's, anyone? what a name!

    2) Shopping! - i feel so bad that i blew almost all my money in one day at a shopping outlet at Charleston in Vegas. 100 smackeroos down the drain all on shirts and whatnot. oh, and don't worry timmy, i've got your pasalubong down. that's one down, and like, 20 more or so to go! gah! i swear, a person can really go crazy in the malls here!

    3) Disneyland/California Adventure - the best rides have got to be Indiana Jones and the Hollywood Tower of Terror. The Tower of Terror is fun cos you'
re on an elevator that goes up and down several stories at a time, and just when you think it's over, you drop several stories again! there's a pic of me hanging onto the railing--haha yeah, i'm a fradycat!

*special highlight: my 13 y/o bro getting freaked out by all the tall rides. he's terrified of heights. case in pt: he looked at the matterhorn (not scary ride) and said, oh this has got scary written all over it! he was bursting with fearful anticipation and all that, then when it was over he got pahiya. wehehehehe of course, there was also another one: my dad pushed him to the side on the indiana jones, just in time for a skeleton to fall out from the side right into his face! hahahhahaa he screamed like a girl. my friend thought the screams were mine. haha.

    4) hot guys (?) - so not! oh gawd, you'd think there'd be a lot, but it seems there's a shortage where i'm at!! wtf?! there are semi-cute/semi-hot dudes but that's about it. lol i think i've only seen a total of one in the Puma store (hihihihi)

*random stupid thing: when we were at the haunted mansion, there's a part where the lights go out in the room and lightning "strikes." well, people were screaming and shit, and i was like, wtf?! what fools, why are they screaming when the lights go out lang? haha i was so smug. tapos later on, my bro told me there was a dead dude hanging pala from the ceiling. bwahahahha my bad. and i was so confident pa naman! hahahhaa

*another random stupid thing: my score on the buzz lightyear ride where you shoot aliens===> ZERO hahaha loser! i dunno, it said 16000 or something on my chair then it went to zero! the fuck! hahaha

hay nako, the states, in genereal: boring unless you're with your friends. it's a great place, but i miss people back home! ahluvyaguys! oh well, might as well enjoy the cool weather while i'm here. hopefully i have more highlights to add, i'm so bored!

    a poem...ehehehhe :p
i haven't written anything in ages...so, sorry if it sounds like crap! ;) if i cant write something good, i just write for the sake of it.

And Still, the Night Goes On...

The sweet smell of rain wafts through the window
    On a serene night
Bustling with so many hidden thoughts
Yet so still and seemingly peaceful.
    Somewhere, a happy heart rejoices,
Someone sits on his couch in thought,
While still another picks up her pen to write.
And still, the night goes on
As if nothing matters at all.

    There I sit in wonder
Listening to the steady hum of crickets
Accompanied by another song less wondrous...
    Yet more complex...
And I see beauty in simplicity--
Beauty so complex in its simplicity
That one can only take it all in.

The night is not so still,
Unspoken words dart hither and thither
    Unseen, unheard, unfelt, but known.
    The night masks it all...
    Strange how such conflicting conditions
    Coexist, blend, become one--
    Still existing distinctly apart
    And yet, there harmony prevails.

Distinct beauty, and the smell of rain
    Captures it all.
The cold, still wind slowly creeps
    After the drizzle fades
And 'neath the silent watch of a street lamp
    I sit and write
Caught up in my foolish reverie.
And still, the night goes on...
